Today I received two mailings from Oracle regarding Oracle OpenWorld 2007 activities on Sunday, November 11.
One was for Oracle Partner Network members, but the other was more general.
Welcome to "Sunday Night Live" with your hosts Safra Catz and Larry Ellison"
Start your Oracle OpenWorld experience with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what makes Oracle tick—with Oracle President and CFO Safra Catz and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison as your personal tour guides.
For 30 years, Oracle has been driving change in the world of information technology and management. This year, to kick off the biggest conference in the company's history, Safra Catz presents "Sunday Night Live: 30 Years Behind the Scenes at Oracle," with special guests Larry Ellison and surprise guests from the Saturday Night Live cast.
Don't miss this sometimes passionate, sometimes funny, always inspiring look at where Oracle has been—and where it's going. And of course the show will feature special musical guests, GearDriver, with Doug Kennedy, Oracle's Senior Vice President of Alliances and Channels, on drums. It's the perfect start to an unforgettable week of learning and excitement.
"Sunday Night Live" is open to all Oracle OpenWorld badge holders. One lucky attendee will win VIP Treatment at the Oracle OpenWorld Appreciation Event: You must be present to win!

While I welcome the look at the history of Oracle, I'll probably be disappointed at the SNL guests. The problem is that I am old, and like some of the people that were at SNL in the past. Somehow I don't think that Steve Martin, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Eddie Murphy, Billy Crystal, Dennis Miller, etc. will be on the stage at Moscone.
And I doubt Tony Rosato or Tracy Morgan will show.
Them danged kids!
P.S. I'll probably lose out in the drawing, because I'll probably find a TV somewhere to watch the thing. I just can't get excited over crowding into Moscone North with several thousand of my closest friends. Some phobia, I reckon.
