Charles Sophy and Separation Anxiety

You can bet that Kathy Hilton was reading this article from one Charles Sophy:

The separation process can be difficult for all involved. Separation anxiety is the conflicting feelings that children have when they part from the person or people to whom they are most attached....

Separation anxiety is a normal process in a child?s development. It is a process that requires open communication, as well as, self-awareness....

Your child may display feelings of anxiety or sadness. Don't ignore or devalue their feelings about the separation process....

Don't expect your child to exhibit adult behaviors when dealing with their anxieties. And don't tolerate any age inappropriate behavior (such as when your nine year old starts talking like a toddler!)....

Remember: You are the expert when it comes to your family and child. If you have a concern, trust your instinct and find someone trained to help you. Discuss your concerns with friends and family, too. You don’t need to worry alone!

Dr. Charles Sophy currently serves as Medical Director for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), which is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of nearly 40,000 foster children. He also has a private psychiatry practice in Beverly Hills, California....

And in case you're wondering about my sudden interest in Charles Sophy, it turns out that we may have learned more about Paris Hilton's undisclosed "medical condition" than what Jonathan Jaxson stated previously.

[T]he condition that enabled Hilton to be released very early from prison was purely psychological - and it was diagnosed by a psychiatrist that has invented mental problems for the heiress in the past.

Indeed, Charles Sophy visited Hilton in jail each of the last two days. We’re told after Sophy’s visit yesterday, word was passed to the sheriff that Hilton’s mental state was more fragile than the brittle bones of friend Nicole Richie.
