This is typical of Washington Mutual. I live overseas and have had to use their call centers and website since I am unable to go and see tellers in person. If I had a dollar for everytime I have been told what someone "can't" or "won't do I would be a lot richer. I have been outright lied to several times. I cannot wait till I get back to the states. I fully intend to close my accounts through them. Stories like this just confirm I am making the right decision.
Just checked Marty's blog - no update. But then again, if he's relying on Internet cafes to post, and if they need a credit card...
