So Ron Paul is now the non-candidate of two political parties

When Ron Paul kinda sorta stopped campaigning for the Republican nomination (although he'll probably still raise a big stink at the Republican convention), I wondered if he had pulled out in enough time to snag the Libertarian nomination if he wanted it.

Well, that time has passed, according to Sharon Cobb:

Former Ga. Rep. Barr was picked as the Libertarian candidate this weekend at the Libertarian convention.

But one presidential candidate did run:

A former Democratic Presidential candidate also ran for this spot and lost. Mike Gravel said that losing the Libertarian nomination was the end of his political career.

I still need to follow up and see what the other parties are doing. There's nothing that requires voters to vote for McBama or McBama.
