[12 OCTOBER 2007 - IMPORTANT UPDATE ON AVAILABILITY OF ORACLE DATABASE 11G FOR LINUX x86_64]
As previously noted, so far the only release of Oracle Database 11g has been for 32 bit Linux.
Laurent Schneider links to some additional information. After drilling down from the initial page, I got the following for Oracle Database 11g, Enterprise Edition, x86-64 Red Hat Enterprise 5:
Operating System: Linux x86-64 (AMD64/EM64T) Version Red Hat Enterprise AS/ES 5
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition Version 11gR1
N/A Version N/A
Status: Projected
Product Version Note:
None available for this product.
Certification Note:
Q4CY2007
So there's a certification date some time between yesterday and the end of December. At least we're narrowed down a little bit.
Just for fun, I ran another report:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista (x86) Version Vista
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition Version 11gR1
N/A Version N/A
Status: Projected
Product Version Note:
None available for this product.
Certification Note:

And another:
Operating System: IBM Linux on System z (31 and 64 bit) Version Red Hat Enterprise AS/ES 4
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition Version 11gR1 64-bit
N/A Version N/A
Status: Projected
Product Version Note:
None available for this product.
Certification Note:
