There's No Place Like Home

You may remember that Marty Robertson had some problems with Washington Mutual's "Jason SPH Team 63" while traveling in Europe - problems which were eventually resolved.

Guess which company was number five on this year's InformationWeek 500 list?

WaMu, as it's commonly known, is cut from different cloth than other banks. In the past year, it's won a slew of awards for customer service, innovation, and being a great place to work. Much of that success can be attributed to its leadership role in applying IT to making banking easier for thousands of customers.

The article then talks about the ease of creating a free online checking account, internal blogs, and loan analysis.

Correction of fraud prevention is not mentioned, and offering service outside of the U.S. isn't mentioned either.
