When someone is despised by the left and the right, it's no surprised that Reverse_Vampyr has posted this Obama video.
But meanwhile, other things are brewing.
[Halfdan] Pedersen, 75, is a registered Republican who likes betting on horses and hanging out at the local veterans club in the small town of Bedford, Indiana, the latest battleground for the Democratic presidential nomination.
People here like to hunt, fish and go to church and they've been sending Republicans to Washington for decades.
But with the factories closing, gasoline prices skyrocketing and so many of the area's young men and women serving second or even third tours of duty in Iraq, change is brewing.
Pedersen plans on voting for Barack Obama in Tuesday's primary and hopes to again in the general election.
But he may be in the minority.
While Obama may have captured Pedersen's vote, Hillary Clinton has been doing much better overall among working class whites.
So how does the Daily Kos feel about the candidates reaching out to the Fox News crowd? We can guess.
For everyone who was so sure this was brilliant, because the candidates were "reaching out," apparently we forgot that the traditional media would still have an opportunity to define for America to whom they were reaching out. Fans of the candidates assured us that it was (pick one): 1) swing voters; 2) open-minded conservatives (ha!), or; 3) people who had lost their TV remotes. But gosh darn it if the Fox PR machine hasn't schooled us all. It was populists! Which means both Clinton and Obama -- and all Democrats, by extension -- are elitists.
Well played, all around! Here's to more such "successes!"
Remember, when you reach out, you leave your face unguarded. Some people are going to take that opportunity to slap you one.
Oh dear, the leading Democratic candidates are appearing...THERE.
It's enough to make you feel bitter.
