Why? Why? Why?

Several years ago, back when I was writing the Ontario Empoblog, I somehow ended up adding several Buffalo-area and ex-Buffalo-area bloggers to my blogroll.

One of those was Erin, who has recently written (or re-written) a post which is the answer to the question "When did you begin your first blog and what inspired you to do so?" Here's a bit of her answer:

The thing that really got me blogging regularly was The Breakup in the fall of 2003. My long-term BF rather abruptly called it quits, and I began blogging regularly both as a way of dealing with my feelings and letting my friends know what was going on in my life without having to tell the same stories over and over and over again.

As the years have passed, Erin has obviously gotten over The Breakup. Now she's getting ready for The Wedding.

P.S. As far as I can tell, Jennifer and Stephanie have stopped blogging. Pity.

If you're looking for allthingsjennifer, she's just in a new place. If the Stephanie you're talking about was "It's the end of the world...etc", yeah, she's stopped blogging.

As a 1970s Christian, would say, I Found It! All Things Jennifer, that is.

And she even uses Twitter.

As do I...and I'm now following you. :)

And I am following you.

The interesting phenomenon of everyone being on umpteen different services - so many that even FriendFeed and MyBlogLog can't keep track of it all.

For example, Erin and I are MySpace friends, but I know that FriendFeed doesn't support MySpace activity, and I don't know if MyBlogLog shows MySpace feeds either.

Of course, MySpace may not HAVE feeds, which may be part of the problem.

Nosing around on MySpace for the first time in a long while, I found that Stephanie is still active there. And her profile plays "Man On The Moon." Good.
