Veronica Lodge is Temporarily Weary of Her Wealth

Some time ago, I wrote a blog post (based upon an Accordion Guy post) with the title Betty Cooper is Weary of the Universe, which talked about an original Archie comic in which Betty "went Goth."

Well, this isn't an original Archie comic - it's modified - but it's wonderful nevertheless. Set to a song I had never heard before ("Common People" by Pulp), this Michael Hanscom video explores Veronica Lodge's interaction with those who are poorer than her, and an expressed wish to live like them.

Please note that Michael's source images were found at Chris's Invincible Super Blog.

Be sure to read Michael Hanscom's discussion of the video, as well as his thoughts about allowed usage of third party materials. You'll be thanking UMG too when you're done.

If you haven't yet, I can definitely recommend adding Common People to your music library. It's actually available in two versions: the original, by Pulp, or a brilliant cover by none other than William Shatner. Good stuff.

Glad you liked the vid!

I knew that Shatner had recorded in the 1960s, but I didn't realize that he had recorded more recently. Thanks for the tip.
