Don't have your cake and don't eat it too

While traveling, I got two different views on a tragic event.

GrimmReality:

I'd like to hand out the First GrimmReality Moron of the Week Award. This one goes 8 ways. To the 8 people killed while watching an illegal drag race in Maryland. Being that these idiots decided to jump in the middle of the roadway after the race started is living proof that once again, racing is for Goofs!

Cortland Coleman:

An illegal road race led to 8 being killed overnight in Maryland. Among the dead was William Gaines Sr., 61. His daughter, Crystal Gaines, was also at the race and stated that she had to grab her child during the incident so couldn't provide any protection to her father.

But the best quote was one that I found in an article quoted at FreeRepublic and attributed to Prince George's County police Cpl. Clinton Copeland:

"This is a situation that could have been avoided, and it's a very tragic situation."
