Followup to a comment that I made this morning:

As you can see, when you dig into [the Paris Hilton] story, it starts to rival the "Scooter" story.

It turns out that I'm not the only one comparing Paris Hilton and Scooter Libby. This editorial was published by the Daily Bulletin:

Bush gave Scooter the Paris pass

Like Paris Hilton, Scooter Libby is the beneficiary of special treatment. Paris had Sheriff Lee Baca to help her out, and Scooter has President George W. Bush. Ironically, Hilton served 23 days in jail for a minor crime while Libby served nothing for lying to a grand jury on a matter of national security.
