Discussion of Freedom of Speech, Free Speech, and Hate Speech

My thoughts here are to start a dialogue regarding the concept of Freedom of Speech as enshrined within the Constitution of the United States (US Constitution) and the separation of speech into "free speech" and "hate speech".

My comment is awaiting moderation, but I did note that restrictions on free speech are not advanced by liberals alone (see the Alien and Sedition Acts).
