Sediment Hasn't Settled Yet

While Jimmy Giorsetti (Don Bolles) looks to April 13, Peter Berdovsky and Sean Stevens look to May 11. The good news for Berdovsky and Stevens is that Martha Coakley claims to want to settle. The bad news? Coakley, Thomas Menino, et al have already publicly branded Berdovsky and Stevens as evil twisted terrorists. Settlement may prove difficult.

Attorney General Martha Coakley said [on April 10] she remains confident that the criminal case against two men charged in a botched promotion for a Cartoon Network show will be resolved before trial.

Peter Berdovsky, 27, and Sean Stevens, 28, have pleaded not guilty to placing a hoax device and disorderly conduct. Their lawyers and prosecutors were unable to craft a plea deal before a March 30 court appearance.

"I'm still confident it will be resolved," Coakley said after testifying at a Statehouse hearing on identity theft legislation.

Charlestown District Court Judge Anthony Sullivan warned the sides at their last appearance that if they could not reach an agreement soon, a trial is possible. The case was continued to May 11.

Peter and Sean, just don't start using Dr. Bronner's soap. And you don't have any out of state restraining orders, do you?
