In other football-soccer news...

At first thought, it sounded like this foreign acquisition of European clubs was going to an extreme:

Microsoft Buys Caligari To Pimp Up Virtual Earth

Then I kept on reading.

Microsoft’s Virtual Earth just added some serious 3-D modeling and animation chops. It bought Caligari, a small company that makes 3-D modeling and animation software. Terms were not disclosed.

Oops. Plus, there's a difference between Caligari and Cagliari. I guess it would help if I could spell in Italian.
