As long as I'm quoting...

...let me reproduce a quote that Pastor Kevin posted. Credit Craig Groeschel:

Sin is like a good sneeze. It feels good coming out. Then you get snot everywhere.

Groeschel has named his church after a website - or vice versa. Details:

Craig Groeschel is the founding and senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv and is known for his creative and relevant Bible teaching. Craig, his wife, Amy, and their six children live in the Edmond, Oklahoma, area where LifeChurch.tv began in 1996.Craig and Amy’s passion - to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ - is the driving force behind his down-to-earth teaching that is touching thousands of people weekly. Craig’s creative leadership skills are changing the way church is done worldwide. Under his leadership, LifeChurch.tv has become one of the country’s first multi-campus churches, with almost fifty weekend worship experiences currently at twelve different locations throughout the United States.

Their doctrinal statement is here. Excerpts:

LifeChurch.tv is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church - a group of more than six hundred churches in the United States and Canada. Founded by Swedish immigrants in 1885, it is a voluntary covenant of churches committed to the affirmation of historical Christianity regarding the Bible as the Word of God and the only perfect rule for doctrine and conduct. The Covenant Church emphasizes the Bible's witness to new life in Jesus Christ expressed in a day to day walk with the Lord.

The Covenant Church believes the Following

The Bible is God's message to us (2 Timothy 3:16)
Jesus Christ changes lives (John 3:3, 14:6)
The church is a spiritual family (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)
A Holy Spirit empowers us to live for God (Galatians 5:25)
Freedom comes from Jesus Christ (John 8:31-32; Galatians 5:1)...

What makes the Covenant unique from other denominations is the fact that while it strongly affirms the clear teaching of the Word of God, it allows believers the personal freedom to have varying interpretations on theological issues that are not clearly presented in Scripture.

I see you've found my other church! ;) Hubbs and I are enjoying the messages from Craig on the Sundays when we can't quite make it to our local Baptist church.

The messages preached at Lifechurch.tv are so Biblically-sound, interesting, and relevant, and I appreciate how they are using multi-media to help bring about a more "universal" church (not that I'm a hardcore ecumenist or anything!) ;)

Pastor Kevin is associate pastor at my church - a recent seminary graduate, Biblically sound, brimming with good ideas.

As for your other-other "church" (j/k), have you seen my Downtown Disney pictures yet?

Yep! :) I am excited to visit the second-happiest place on earth (the first being "in my hubby's arms" - ya can't beat that!).

Well, *I* don't personally care to be in your hubby's arms. :)
