Thor Muller has an interesting take on the T-Mobile/Twitter SMS situation.
Tim O'Reilly, in today's NYTimes, explains why cell phone companies are being incredibly self-destructive when they pursue closed, anti-competitive systems like T-Mobile is doing here. He also expresses why there is so much to gain by an embrace of openness in its network....
Tim is talking about market leader Verizon. But if T-Mobile wants to survive it better stop trying to emulate these cruel anti-customer tactics and start creating network value for its users.
