However, a Hitwise report of the top dating sites for the week ending February 10, 2007 reveals that Match.com is more popular than eHarmony. The percentage numbers indicate market share:

Incidentally, the Hitwise article concentrated on male-female imbalances at some of the sites. While Match.com is kind of balanced (55% female), eHarmony is somewhat more skewed at 68.6%.

I kept reading plenty-of-fish like plenty-offish when I first read about it. I thought, "What the hell do people want to go out of their way to meet snobs for? Sheesh." ;) I finally figured it out... They want ichthyologists, not snobs, right?
I guess my Swiss daughter won't join them. She does not care for fish.
