Every big city is a small town. While San Jose talks about OpenSocial, El-Lay talks about the writer's strike.
Word is that the late night shows are shutting down. However, I vaguely remember Johnny Carson doing a monologue sans writers back in the day. Are today's talk show hosts not that quick on their feet?
It appears that the soap operas can continue to tape until the end of the year. However, I suspect that they can tape even longer. A soap opera can be wordless:
JEAN-PIERRE stares into COURTNEY's eyes.
COURTNEY stares into JEAN-PIERRE's eyes.
BAMBI walks into the room.
BAMBI stares into JEAN-PIERRE's eyes.
JEAN-PIERRE stares into BAMBI's eyes.
COURTNEY angrily stares into BAMBI's eyes.
REGINALD walks into the room...

Haha...I love your soap script. Unfortunately, soaps probably won't last that long (they'll probably only have enough scripts to last until mid-December at the latest). Hopefully, most of the primetime shows will last for a while. I wouldn't be too upset about losing One Life to Live or The View, but if anything gets between me and Grey's Anatomy, we're gonna have problems. =P
