Coinstar Partnerships

Followup.

I haven't used a Coinstar machine in some time (not enough change lying around at the moment), but a lot of people have used them to do some different things.

Take amazon.com surfers.

[In 2005] Amazon.com...teamed up with Coinstar....So, now, instead of being handed a receipt you can redeem at the grocery store register, you'll get a code you can use at Amazon.com. Apparently, if you get your coins redeem in Amazon dollars, Coinstar won't charge you the 8.9% -- which makes you wonder what Coinstar is getting out of the deal.

They also used to own meals.com, but that site is part of Nestle now.
