In which this poor blogger manufactures lines as good as any from a tabloid rag

kbade, who found the story below, is more all-encompassing than I am. (And probably more succinct too.)

Turns out that Boy George has been accused of kidnapping and imprisoning a male escort.

But the thing that caught me was the following line. For those in the journalism field who decry how bloggers are claiming to be journalists, take a look at what some journalists will do to manufacture a story. Was Auden Carlsen tied up to force him to utter this line for the Sun's readers?

"It’s ironic that his biggest hit was Do You Really Want To Hurt Me? — because I’m sure he did want to hurt me."

Groan.

Well, just to prove that a blogger can be just as professional as a journalist, I'm going to manufacture some other lines that Auden Carlsen never said:

He was so nice in the beginning, but he turned out to be a karma chameleon.

When he handcuffed me, I decided not to resist. War is stupid.

I decided it wouldn't do any good to play the crying game.

Boy George gathers no Moss, apparently.
